Wk15 Final Project

Here is my final project of the semester. I finished animating the loading screen of my game. I am very proud with how this came out. I put in a lot of hours on just the loading screen alone which was the biggest piece of project to create and let alone animate. Although I did not draw the background screen, I did however have to draw from scratch the gun (which is just another prop art really), the bullet, the head outline, and of course then animate every thing. Really pleased with how it looks and I hope that every one else thinks the same thing. I also, for my final, wanted to some how I could tie all of the pieces together but I soon realized putting multiple gifs in sequence is nearly impossible to do so I will just post all of them so that you can get the full picture. They were ones of previous weeks from now. Please tell me what you think!

Wk14 Upgrade Part 3

Here is my third upgrade. I added a new loading screen. Right now it is still imaged because there is a lot of animation that I want to do this this. For my final, of next upgrade, I plan to animate this loading screen bad animating the loading dots as well as having the gun fire and then the bullet slowing enter the skull after it fills up meaning that game has completely loaded. I will as have random hints keep appearing the screen as the game loads. Then also for the final I will string all of the parts that I have created into one big clip as to show as if someone was navigating the starting screens. I hope you like it, tell me what you think.

Wk14 Upgrade Project Part 2

Here is the second screen to my game which will appear after you "Press the start Button". As you can see it just changes over the character when hovering over them to select which game mode to play. For the next upgrade I plan on doing a simple loading screen which will then launch into a map. I want to make a full long video of the whole thing compiled into one. Tell me what you think.

This was the title screen:

Wk13 Next Upgrade Concept Phase

For my next upgrade I plan on doing the next selection screen of my game which is where players will select whether they will be playing against a CPU or another player. In my idea I want a simple stationary background where each of the selections will be. From there which ever selected option will be illuminated and the other one slightly visible. Players will be able to move to each one illuminating and enlarging the one being selected. For the CPU option I plan on using an image like the one I posted above because I think its a cool looking version of a human created computer. For the player vs player option I was thinking about may just having two characters holding one another at gun point. For the back ground I am still determining what I am going to do but I think this image at the bottom is something that will fit appropriately

Wk13 Upgrade Project

Here is my upgraded title screen. I decided to go at a totally different approach from before. I wanted to go down a little more retro avenue and I also wanted to give a different feel to the game. Being that my game is based off of a board game I wanted to make it simple and short to the point for the title screen. As you can see there is other options other than to press start. For the more upgrading of the projects to come I want to go through the cycles of the screens until you actually get to gameplay itself. After this screen I plan to do a player selection screen as in if you want to do player vs cpu or player vs. player. Please tell me what you think of the new more retro style. Cause I plan on making the screens of selection based on older style games with less options.

Wk12 Upgrade Research Phase

I was thinking about upgrading this piece of work that I did. I originally wanted finish the skull and antlers as well as do some cool stuff with the smoke and as well as maybe create a background for him. I want to continue to improve the shading and coloring abilities so I feel that upgrading this project will allow me to do so.

Wk11 Maze Texturing Final Phase

Here are the renders of my maze where I upgraded some of the images in order to give it more of a horror abandoned feel. As you can see I re did some of the wall designs, floor designs, and also the doors. I add some grass a long the edges between the walls and the floors to make it feel vacant and you can also see the blood stains and random x ray pictures I put on the walls to give it more mood. The light is somewhat bright in some places but still pretty dark and eerie as you can see in the larger render of the maze. I can also play around and see if I can change somethings. Let me know what you think.
